Life is a BLESSED Adventure!

Adventure. What does it mean to you? Somedays, for me, it feels like I am on an adventure just tackling the daily survival goals! (Mom-hood can be tough!) The challenge over at Heart 2 Heart this week has the theme "Adventure". I have created a project to show my interpretation of Adventure... I call my project "Blessed". As crazy as an adventure this thing called life is, I find my path to be very BLESSED.

We will be getting brand new Family portraits taken very soon, so I plan to fill this layout with those! We are a family of 5 so the Left hand page will have a picture of each of us individually. Then there is room for some more group shots on the RH scrapbook page.

I used the following for my layout:
- Rustic Home Paper Fundamentals from CTMH (Z3262)
- All Together Compliments from CTMH (Z3267)
- Sea Glass Ink
- CoCoa ink for edging
- The September Stamp Of The Month "Blessed Beyond Measure" (S1609)

The design elements of my Layout were inspired by a Sketch Challenge I played along with at Lets Scrap! Here is the sketch I started with.

There is still plenty of time! I hope that you can play along too with the "Adventure" Challenge! I can't wait to see what adventure inspires in YOU!

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its Way

Easter Joy! Easter is on it's way!

On my layout I used the new color, "Fern", from Close To My Heart. I used the fern cardstock as a ripped layer to show the background of the Rabbit Trail. I also used it as bows tied with thick twine.

Create a project and incorporate the new color "Fern", then link it up to Heart 2 Heart Challenges by the end of this month.

Can't wait to see what you create!

"Three" is the name of the theme!

It's March! The 3rd month of the year- as indicated by the "3". Thus, THREE is the first theme this month at Heart 2 Heart Challenges! Get out your CTMH items, think about three as an inspiration, and get to work to share your creations.

I used the number 3 in three ways... 1. I titled my layout "3 months old" and will insert photos later of the baby when he was 3 months old. 2. My page has three photo spots. 3. I positioned my decorative elements in groups of three- ie- I thought of the points of an abstract triangle when placing my grey gems.

My finished page is based on a sketch challenge I entered at SBC Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #471.

This sketch was a lot of fun to interpret in my own way! How do you think I did?

I used my Georgie paper collectionwith coordinating stickers assortment and grey gems. To create the scalloped edge in the sketch that is to the left hand side of the patterned paper I cut the clear stickers in half and arranged the edges against the edge of the paper. My pennants in the upper left are from the zip strip of one of the papers and yellow stickers.

What will the number three inspire in you? What will you brainstorm and create? Looking forward to seeing your entry at the Heart 2 Heart Challenge!

"By The Numbers" Heart 2 Heart Challenge

The new challenge at Heart 2 Heart is titled "By The Numbers". How can you use numbers on a paper crafting project? Check out the challenge to see how our team of designers interpreted the task!

I chose to use numbers as a journaling key. I numbered each photo and wrote coordinating journaling for each one on a PML card.

I used my "go to" alphabet stamp set, Typeface! Can't get enough of this stamp set and it was just right for what I needed to accomplish with numbers on this project.

This was my first chance to use the brand NEW "Regatta" Paper Collection featured in the NEW Seasonal Expressions book. I followed the online guide for suggested page layouts, kinda fun!

Absolutely giddy over how well this zip strip sentiment matched the photo I placed with it!

The NEW white and gold ribbon is a great finishing touch on this layout! Ooo Shiney!

What will you create "by the numbers"? Use your Close To My Heart products and make sure to enter your project by the end of this month!

Happy Crafting!

1st Grade Urban Layout

January is the month with #1 assigned to it. The first challenge at Heart 2 Heart for this month (and so far this year) has the #1 as a theme. What project can you create with a #1 in it? I used this as a chance to start scrapping the current school year for my Son and got his 1st Grade layout started! (You have until the end of this month to play along).

I used the colors and papers from the Urban Collection for my layout. I was very excited about how well my Son's school picture coordinated with the papers.

For the design of my layout I was inspired by a sketch challenge over at Let's Scrap! You have until halfway through this month to play along with this challenge too!

I used the new color, Peacock, as the base to my layout. It is a beautiful shade of teal-ish blue! It coordinates in beautiful contrast to the yellow and grey shades.

Hope to see you enter your projects at H2H and Let's Scrap!
