February SOTM Blog Hop, Wild About Love!

"Wild About Love!" is the new February 2014 Stamp Of The Month from Close To My Heart! I "LOVE" it! Cute foxes and hearts and sentiments.

Welcome to the February SOTM Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Jean's Blog, Stamping Maui, then you are on the right track. You will see over 50 Consultant Projects if you click through all of the blogs on the hop. That's a lot of inspiration of what YOU can do with this stamp set! Now let me show you what project I created for you to see!

A special Fox themed Valentine!

Hey Foxy is a fun title for a Valentine!

I'm extra excited about this card because it is a SPINNING card! The medallion suspended on a string in the window allowed me to put two different elements in one spot! I put the "I LOVE You" sentiment on one side, and two hearts on the other!

For added details I added paper and scallop boarders to the inside of the card.

I also added the stump and heart to the envelope next to where the address will go.

 Supplies:
  • S1402: "Wild About Love" February 2014 Stamp Of The Month (CTMH)
  • Timberline Woodgrain Paper (CTMH)
  • Goldrush, Smoothie, and Chocolate Inks/Cardstocks (CTMH)
  • Flamingo Dots (Pink) (CTMH)
  • Scallop Punch Circle and Border (SUP)
  • Spinner Card Base and Envelope (CTMH)

Thank you for taking the time to see my project! Hope you like it! Now hop on over to Terry Ann Diack's blog to see her creative ideas!

Stargazing Timberline Layout

When I first flipped through the New Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book from Close To My Heart I fell in love with the new kit called "Timberline". (I had visions of barnwood and camping and stars!) I knew I would be creating pages for my scrapbook with it! I stumbled upon the Moxie Fab World paper crafting challenge titled "Constellations Trendy Star Power" and knew it was time to jump in and get inky! (If you like challenges, you've got to check out Moxie Fab World and play along!)

The Timberline kit has paper in it that shows the constellations, it was perfect to use as a stary skyline type element on the sketch I worked from which I found at the Lets Scrap Sketch Challenge Blog! Here is the sketch I worked from:

Here is my take on it! How do you think I did?

My photos will go in the spots that are shown on my layout in white. I'm trying to decide between a camping trip, trip to the observatory, or a Wedding page with lyrics for Tracy Byrd's song Keeper of the stars. What's your vote?

"Cross-Stitch Wishes" Card

January 2014's Stamp Of The Month stamp set, "Cross-Stitch Wishes", is the ideal set to use for the cross stitcher or quilt crafter you know. I have ideas for thank you cards to people who have made me special one of a kind stitched gifts. Also, I could use this stamp set on scrapbook pages documenting special gifts such as quilts. What will you, or have you, used your January Stamp Of The Month on?

I partnered this stamp set with the "Seize The Sketch" STS #12 sketch challenge. It was the perfect sketch to showcase the pennant/banner accent detail! What do you think of my interpretation?

The person I had in mind when I created this card likes blue, which meant it would also be great to include the challenge at "Inspired By" #104! How do you think I did?

Supply List:
  • S1401: "Cross-Stitch Wishes" January 2014 Stamp Of The Month (CTMH)
  • Inks: Cocoa, Sky
  • Papers: Surfs Up. Claire, both sides of buzz and bumble
I used both sides of my double sided background and texture paper from my buzz and bumble paper pack. I am submitting this card to the "Two-Faced" Challenge at the Heart 2 Heart blog.

Can't wait to give this special card!

Fox Birthday Party Photo Album

Foxes are popular right now for children of all ages! Age 0 - grown adult! :) When my Nephew had a Fox themed birthday party I could not wait to create a Photo Album for him to keep his photos from the event in. I had been itching for an excuse to use my new Fox stamp!

I used the sketch inspiration from the blog "Freshly Made Sketches" sketch #119! This sketch was so cute! The angled piece of the sketch was ideal for the barn wood background I had in mind.

I used my fox stamp where the star was on the sketch. The long pennant banner was the perfect spot for my sentiment. I added a cricut cut number 1, from my Artbooking cartridge, to remember what Birthday Party it was from.

This is one of my favorite gifts to give. An album of photos from a milestone moment.
